ACCOMPLISHMENTS
I'm part of a great team that includes my council colleagues, city staff,
and residents. I don't do anything for the city on my own.

However, I have led the way on several new programs & policies...
Picture
  • The creation of an Affordable Housing Trust Fund to fund the development and preservation of affordable housing
  • The creation of no-interest, deferred loan program to help more BIPOC individuals and families become homeowners in SLP (coming soon)
  • Amendments to our inclusionary housing policy that require developers to include more affordable family-size units
  • A policy requiring developers to replace naturally occurring affordable housing units they demolish for development, one-for-one
  • Changes to city code to allow more flexibility for home-based businesses
  • Prioritizing snow removal from bus stops and multi-use trails to support non-car commuters

I'm also pleased to have worked alongside my colleagues & city staff over the last four years to:
  • Reduce speed limits on residential streets
  • Bring Ranked Choice Voting to City Council elections
  • Inform the development of design guidelines for Historic Walker Lake
  • Support construction of the Dakota-Edgewood pedestrian/bike bridge, including unique public art components that will celebrate Indigenous art & culture
  • Support new solar energy incentive programs for residential & business properties
